When reading this week's Faith to Faith blog from Women of Faith this sentence really stuck out to me. I kept reading it. Shelia Walsh wrote about how all good things take time, she references Job 14:19 "Water wears away stones." then she talks a little about where do we want to be in a year's time. We have to go somewhere, we have to change, none of us get to stay the same as we are today. One day at a time our actions and choices shape who we will be one year from now.

With that in mind, I want my choices and actions to be intentional. I don't want to just let the days and months go by and let who I am on 1/11/2010 be someone I don't want to be. Who I am today and in the future is definitely of value. So again "Everything that has value is worth intentional, daily commitment, and obedience." There's no better time than now to start being the person I really want to be, there has to be a first step sometime. I know I will fail and I won't always be the joyful, kind, caring person I want to be, but that's no reason not to start each day with that intention and trust in my Father and His Spirit to guide me and form me to be that person a little more everyday.
So today I am going to begin with prayer to ask the Holy Spirit to bring me joy and love and guide me towards the person He wants me to be, both spiritually and relationally.
